Review: Territorio, San Telmo, Buenos Aires, Argentina

Hello Buenos Aires!  After another long (but comfortable) bus journey we arrived in the capital of Argentina.  This city lives up to its reputation as a truly great international city.  We split our time there by staying in the artsy San Telmo district first, and then over in Palermo, the ‘North London’ of Buenos Aires.

San Telmo is a great little area with real character and nice cobbled lanes to walk down with funky shops, nice cafes and beautiful buildings to admire.  Every Sunday the streets come alive with the huge market selling antiques, clothes, jewellery, art and much more.

Our first meal in Buenos Aires was eaten in San Telmo at the Territorio bar/café.  Territorio is fairly small and quite like a gastro pub in feel.  It has a great menu with lots of choice, but if there are a few of you then definitely try one of the platters.  The platter we ordered was huge and full of so many different meats, cheeses, olives, chutneys, and bread.  It was yummy.  We also ordered one of the sandwiches which was amazing too.  Great bread, perfect amount of filling, beautiful smoked salmon and a big feed!

All in all, great place and definitely a recommended eat.
