Food Glossary: Dulce de leche
Dulce de leche is a favourite item in Argentinian homes and stores! It is sold in jars and used as a spread on breads and pastries and is also sold in biscuits which are very popular. It is a thick, caramel, sweet spread which I am sure is full of sugar! It can be very sickly if you use too much. It's name translates to 'sweets made of milk' - as it is made from sweetened milk. I quite like some of the biscuits (they range in quality) but was not so keen on the spread.
