Review: Parilla's of Bogota, Columbia

So...Argentina holds the reputation for amazing juicy, tasty meat in South America.  However, I would argue that Columbia is very close in its availability of quality, succulent, yummy scrummy, mouth-watering meat!

Walking down the road one afternoon on the way to the Mirador Torre Colpatria - Bogota's highest skyscraper (180m), where you can enjoy 360 degree views of Bogota from the 48th story, we first smelt the aroma's of an amazing parilla.  Next we were offered some free samples of the different meats on the street by one of the friendly chefs there...

That was all we needed to win us over...we ordered a mixed plate.  The portion was HUGE.  Three of us attacked it and were still completely stuffed.  The meats came with a small pancake/bread cake, guacamole, and plantain.

The grill we visited was on Carrera 7, a few blocks from the skyscraper.  The street was full of grills so I beg you to visit this area and sample some of this delicious meat!  You won't regret it!
